Today is the final deadline for Overdrive-Red Eye Radio’s Trucker Talent Search entries to be submitted. The video submission period for the trucker singing contest is open through midnight. A panel of judges will watch all the videos and select three finalists, who will attend The Great American Trucking Show in Dallas in August and will compete live for first place, which comes with a studio recording session provided by AxleOutPro, plus a $1,000 cash prize.

Applicants should record a video clip of themselves singing — even a simple smartphone recording is acceptable. Judges request recently recorded videos with minimal audio enhancement, and no pitch correction software should be used. The contest is open only to full-time truck drivers with a valid CDL.

The event’s emcee and special musical guest will be trucker and singer-songwriter Tony Justice. Visit TruckerTalentSearch.com for more information and to enter.

Previous winners of the contest are Jason Lee Wilson, Nate Moran and Keith Sampson.
