Hard-Working Beauties

NITRO GLISTENER

Harl Thomas of Nitro, W.V., has been hauling chemicals out of Charleston for 12 years in his 2001 Peterbilt 379. His “Neat Pete” has a 63-inch flattop sleeper and is equipped with a 525-hp Cummins, 18-speed Fuller transmission and 3.70 Eaton rears. The interior has a chromed-out dash and a wood grain steering wheel. The truck, which has won several trophies, is also equipped with a Texas square bumper, a stainless drop exterior visor, four spotlights, full aluminum fenders and 143 exterior LED lights.

PULLIN’ DOUBLE DUTY

Byron and Linda Kinsinger of Cambridge, Ind., haul corn and soybeans in their 1994 Kenworth T800 tri-axle grain truck. After all their crops are in at home, they use the 22-foot Reiten aluminum grain bed in their seed business. The truck has new Alcoa aluminum wheels. “I’ve always wanted a tri-axle truck and couldn’t be more proud of this one,” Byron says.
