Truck Gym, a new in-cab exercise device, uses a steel frame that can be adjusted so that it can be assembled and fit snugly around the seat. Its base is attached to the floor with self-tapping screws. The frame is slip-fitted together, and tension tubes are attached to the frame. The $299 product is sold mostly by other drivers or directly from the company.

ULTRA-DEEP RADIAL DRIVE
Firestone has introduced a new, 29/32-inch-deep drive axle radial for long-distance line haul use. The FD690 PLUS has one of the deepest treads of any drive radial in the industry and, together with a continuous shoulder design, is engineered to combat irregular wear, the company says. The tread features an aggressive block/lug design, with numerous angled edges to cut through water and road films. Additional tread stability is provided by a continuous shoulder design. Suitable for both single and tandem drive axle applications, the FD690 PLUS is available in a “G” load rating, in both standard and low-profile sizes for 221/2 and 241/2-inch wheels.
CUMMINS ISL AVAILABLE ON KENWORTH
The enhanced Cummins ISL engine is now available for order on Kenworth trucks. Kenworth is offering the 8.9-liter engine in ratings of 310 to 350 hp and 1,050 to 1,250 pounds-feet of torque. The ISL offers a variable geometry turbocharger, which constantly adjusts airflow based on engine load, altitude and temperature. The engine is designed with 24-valve centered fuel injection for offers optimum combustion.
BRIDGESTONE’S NEW DRIVE RADIAL
Bridgestone’s new M725 drive radial, similar to Bridgestone’s M726, is designed for single-drive axle tractors and straight trucks. With an ultra-deep 30/32-inch tread, the M725 is one of the deepest line-haul drive axle radials in the industry, offering long tread life, high traction and Bridgestone retreadability. The M725 incorporates an aggressive, open-shoulder tread pattern, designed to dig in and hold on snow and other soft surfaces.
The M725 is available in 295/ 75R22.5, 285/75R24.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 sizes with a “G” load rating.
WAECO EXPANDS LINE OF COOL BOXES
WAECO U.S.A.’s CX range of coolers now includes plug-in units in 19-quart and 33-quart capacity, at $49 and $99 respectively. The CCF-40, a top-loading refrigerator/freezer, lists at $349. WAECO’s CD-30 drawer refrigerator unit will cost approximately $400. The products will be available in January at major new-truck dealers and large truck stops.

Cole Hersee’s new Digital Signal Rocker Switch for trucking applications works with any proprietary digital databus system to operate any kind of electrical equipment. The weather-resistant switch is configurable in various switching options: SPST, DPST, SPDT, DPDT, momentary/continuous, with pilot lights (dependent or independent) or illuminated symbols/text. Right Weigh Load Scales has introduced two new OEM load scales, the 430 and the 710, for air suspension tractors and trailers. The Model 430 is a 2 1/2-inch stainless steel gauge for exterior mounting. It is available in either a flange mount or a lower mount. The Model 710 is a 3-inch backlit gauge for interior mounting.

HUGG’S NEW PORTAWINCH
Hugg Manufacturing offers two PortaWinch models: the original side-hook PortaWinch SPS and the new front-hook PortaWinch SPS. The new design is designed for use on aluminum stake pockets and spreads the force of the load over a larger area, reducing scarring and increasing load capacity of the stake pocket. Both models test to more than 17,500 pounds.
INFRARED REAR VISION CAMERA
CyberSpeed Technologies has just released its MotoCam rear vision system to the commercial vehicle market. The MotoCam features a full-color LCD screen mounted to the windshield, an infrared camera secured on the rear of the truck and multiflex mounts to absorb vibrations. The camera captures three lanes of traffic and provides 35 feet of night vision. Quick-release components allow the system to be removed when not in use.
ALUMINUM FRAME DECK COVERS
Pro-Tech has introduced three new products, including new diamond plate aluminum frame deck covers. The covers feature a new stiffener that doubles as a mounting device. The company has also added two new choices to its line of frame-mounted chain hangers. The new center-pivot lid design offers quick access to multiple sets of chains on each hanger without the frustration of a lid.
