FREIGHTLINER MODELS WITH 100-INCH SLEEPER
Stoops Freightliner of Indianapolis has partnered with Bentz Transport Products to design and manufacture a line of aftermarket, 100-inch sleepers for Freightliner’s Columbia, Century Class S/T and Coronado (above) models.
Targeted to husband-and-wife teams in over-the-road and expediter applications, the sleepers will feature options such as bigger beds, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units and shower/toilet accommodations.
The SST100 conversion will offer spacious accommodations in a lightweight package. The conversion on the Columbia CL112 straight truck chassis, for example, will meet expediter requirements for a 22-foot van body with a 40-foot overall length. The roof is low enough to allow a refrigeration unit to be installed above the sleeper. It is currently available, while larger models are expected to be released this summer.
Goodyear Tire & Rubber’s Unisteel G287 MSA mixed-service tire features high-mileage tread compounds, an improved belt package and computer-generated tread design. The Unisteel G288 MSA mixed-service tire features a new severe service tread compound and an improved belt package that resists cutting, chipping and tearing.
Seats Inc.’s new 1008 line of durable bucket seats for off-road trucks has the look and feel of vinyl without sewn covers, with superior wear characteristics and a reduced cost. The seat comes with T-nuts for mounting or 4-inch single locking tracks. Options include self-skinned folding armrests, additional mounting choices and an operator-present safety switch.

The video is available in VHS or DVD format and can be ordered from Caterpillar and truck dealers.
UNDERBODY PIVOT TARP SYSTEM
The underbody pivot for Pulltarps’ electric arm-type tarp systems allows fine alignment adjustments with a spring tension that can accommodate 40-foot applications. The compact design places the arms close to the body and the pivots under the body. The pivots can be welded or bolted into place and feature a two-piece arm design made of galvanized fence pipe or optional aluminum tubing.

ALUMINUM FLATBED TRAILER
The Fontaine Phantom all-aluminum trailer features an extruded aluminum main beam that eliminates welding between the web and the flange. The 12-foot flange eliminates flexing.
X-FLEX FIGHTS FENDER CRACKING
X-Flex mounting technology eliminates the harmonic vibration that can cause cracks in aluminum fenders. X-Flex is offered with all East 3/16-inch diamond plate and smooth aluminum half-tandem, full-tandem and single-axle fenders. The systems use a combination of mounting kits and rubber isolators to form a free-floating zone that absorbs vibration before it reaches the fender. The system is available as the Vibro Wedge, a top-mount, and the Iso-blox, an under-mount.
