FREIGHTLINER MODELS WITH 100-INCH SLEEPER
Stoops Freightliner of Indianapolis has partnered with Bentz Transport Products to design and manufacture a line of aftermarket, 100-inch sleepers for Freightliner’s Columbia, Century Class S/T and Coronado (above) models.
Targeted to husband-and-wife teams in over-the-road and expediter applications, the sleepers will feature options such as bigger beds, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units and shower/toilet accommodations.
The SST100 conversion will offer spacious accommodations in a lightweight package. The conversion on the Columbia CL112 straight truck chassis, for example, will meet expediter requirements for a 22-foot van body with a 40-foot overall length. The roof is low enough to allow a refrigeration unit to be installed above the sleeper. It is currently available, while larger models are expected to be released this summer.
