(Photo Missouri Department of Transportation)Law enforcement officers will be turning up the HEAT this summer on Interstate 270 and other freeways in the St. Louis area.
Police will be patrolling for aggressive driving and speeding along I-270, as well I-70 and I-44. The police partnership, known as the High Enforcement Action Teams – or HEAT, will be on patrol from June 21 through Sept. 21.
Officers will be looking for dangerous maneuvers, following too closely, impaired drivers, excessive speed and seat-belt use.
