Idaho Transportation Department will team with Idaho law enforcement agencies to mount high-visibility driving enforcement patrols Oct. 29 through Nov. 14.
During the campaign, officers will increase enforcement of speed limits and traffic laws. They also will check for seat belt use.
In 2009, nearly 60 percent of Idahoans killed in an aggressive driving crash were not wearing seat belts, the IDOT said.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates seat belts are 50 percent effective in preventing fatalities and serious injuries during crashes.
