Retiree donates new Kenworth truck

A retired marine construction diver with a long-time appreciation of Kenworth trucks bought a new Kenworth T660 and donated it to the Lions Club in Washington State.

Red Bingham, 87, and his wife, Beverly, bought the truck for $145,000 with proceeds from the sale of stock of Kenworth parent company Paccar they bought nearly 50 years ago.

The donated truck pulls a 60-foot health screening van that travels the state providing free vision and hearing screenings to school children.
