Some of you may remember a story I wrote earlier this year about David Adkins and his Fitzgerald Glider. I will never forget this piece, as it afforded me the opportunity to get to know one of the most decent human beings I have ever met on this earth.
David passed away on October 6. His kind and gracious wife, Shena, took the time to let George and I know how much she appreciated our help with selling the glider:
David lost his battle with cancer but he’s on his way home to heaven. He loved that truck and his dream was to drive for Landstar and he had both. He will be missed each and every day and each moment.
Yes he will. Our thoughts are with Shena and the rest of the family. Thank you for sharing him with us, he was truly one of the most inspirational people we’ve met along this journey, and we’re both so thankful for the opportunity.
