USA Truck has announced a new policy that will allow its company over-the-road driving teams to select when and where they take time off.
USA Truck’s “Choose Your Hometime” policy is geared toward providing the company’s teams with an enhanced work/life balance and flexible scheduling, including a weekly hometime option. Under this new policy, drivers may choose to take their hometime at any time or location within the company’s approved network, arranging the details with their driver managers.
“We continually evaluate feedback from our driving fleet, as well as from prospective and former team members, and hometime is a recurring topic,” said Russell Overla, executive vice president of truckload operations for USA Truck. “There has never been more competition for qualified professional drivers, so we believe it’s important to listen and adapt whenever possible. Drivers understandably want choices in how they manage their schedules. This gives them those choices. Our ‘Choose Your Hometime’ initiative is just one more enhancement that signifies us as a career destination.”
