Canada-based trucking fleet TransForce (No. 7 on the CCJ Top 250) plans to change its name from TransForce Inc. to TFI International Inc. by the end of the year, the company announced Nov. 28.
The change stems from TransForce’s acquisition of XPO Logistics’ truckload division, now operating under CFI, in October.
Shareholders will meet in Quebec on Dec. 23, who must approve the name change by two-thirds vote. Once approved, the company expects its shares to begin trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange before the end of the year.
