Truck driver Denis Palamarchuk was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the charge of felony trafficking in marijuana. The cargo, which totaled 6,701 pounds, is being lab tested for conclusive analysis.

Johnson got out of his truck and tried to carefully approach the child, but it ran back across the road and into a gravel parking lot, visibly frightened and crying. He caught up to the child and picked it up, tried to comfort it and called 911. Ā A police officer arrived and took the child to a local hospital.

Minnesota raises speed limits to 60 on over 5,000 miles of highways
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will increase speeds on 5,240 miles of highway based on the results of a five-year study completed last week. The increases are effective as soon as new signs are posted. Many signs are already up, and the rest are expected to be in place by spring.
