The only ELD on the market with a built-in printer is Continental’s VDO RoadLog.

Continental, maker of the VDO Roadlog electronic logging device, is offering a trade-in program for truckers looking to switch ELD providers. The company will, through July 14, give a $100 Visa card to operators who switch to the VDO system from another device. Applications for the switch program can be made at vdoroadlog.com/rebates.

VDO calls its rebate program a “do-over” for those unhappy with their original ELD selection. “In spite of the fact that there are a lot of ELD options on the market, many ELD owners are dissatisfied and downright frustrated with the ELD solution they’ve chosen. So, we’re offering them a second chance to choose a better option,” says Jay McCarthy, VDO Roadlog marketing manager.

Continental’s announcement comes on the heels of last week’s news that One20, maker of the F-ELD, has shuttered its ELD system, forcing operators to find another ELD provider. Read more on other companies offering support for the defunct One20 F-ELD at this link.
