Keeping it old school: ’02 Peterbilt 379

Updated Jul 7, 2014

RickMeijerRick Meijer, an Orono, Ontario, native, owns this 2002 Peterbilt 379, which is powered by a 550-hp Cat and 18-speed transmission. The owner-operator is leased to Landstar and hauls step-deck machinery. Meijer wanted to keep the truck reminiscent of the old-school tractors, so he dropped both the front and the back six inches and added 6-inch pipes. The headlights were taken from a 359, and Meijer made sure to take it easy on the chrome, in keeping with the theme. The interior has been painted orange and black.
