While the Minimizer Bandit Big Rig Series’ 2018 season is officially over, some of the drivers will hit the track at least one more time this year during an event at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee this weekend in an exhibition event.
Ten of the Bandits will take part in two 25-lap heat races at the historic NASCAR half-mile track during Bristol’s Metro By T-Mobile Halloween Monster Truck Mash on Saturday, Oct. 27.
“It’s a privilege to race here on this track,” said Bandit Series driver Allen Boles. “We race on short tracks all over the country but this one here, hey, it’s special. I love it here. I think we’ll be alright out there. It’s going to be a good show and exciting. All the truckers need to come out and watch us. All the cars are pinpoint precision and these trucks are all over the place. We race hard and put on a good show.”
The event will feature monster trucks in racing and freestyle events, as well as the two Bandit races. Gates will open at 1 p.m. with the Monster Truck Trick or Treat Party, where monster truck drivers will be available for meet and greets and passing out candy to children. Racing action will begin at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $20 if purchased online before the event, or $25 the day of the event. Children 12 and under get in for $5.
