Small trucking fleet owner Allen Boles picked up his first win of the 2019 Bandit Big Rig Series season at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pennsylvania, last weekend.

Boles, the owner of North Carolina-based Jupiter Enterprises, was able to hold off Minimizer CEO Craig Kruckeberg and his longtime friend Ricky “Rude” Proffitt to claim the victory.

“This means a lot,” Boles said following the race. “We’re family doing this Bandit thing. We all help each other out. It was a good battle [with Kruckeberg]. Craig had the outside line, and I had the advantage on the inside line.”

Boles started the race in 10th out of 16 trucks and was able to work his way up through the field and take the lead from Kruckeberg with 11 laps to go. Kruckeberg didn’t give up easily, however, and stayed on Boles’ rear bumper until the checkered flag waved.

Kruckeberg, who started the race in 2nd place, was able to pass Austin Hoppe on the start to lead the first lap and hold the lead until Boles caught and passed him, leading the most laps in the race.

Finishing behind Boles and Kruckeberg were Ricky Proffitt, Darren Proffitt and Jon Lisenbee.

Nearing the halfway point in the season, Ricky Proffitt holds the overall points standings lead by a small margin over Boles, Mark Noble, Kruckeberg and Mike Morgan.
