Safety groups are pushing a new study that shows 80 percent of the American public wants Congress to leave the 2013 hours-of-service rule in place and to abandon efforts to suspend the rule. Trucking groups, however, say the results of the study are âmisleadingâ and âharmful.â

As the Senate resumes work this week on its 2015 DOT-funding bill, the American Trucking Associations said it expects an attempt will come on the Senate floor to undo work by the Senate Appropriations committee to halt certain provisions of the current hours-of-service rule.
