More than 44,000 truck drivers and their families descended on Walcott, Iowa and the Iowa 80 Truckstop last week for the 37th annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree.
Visitors came from 23 states and three Canadian provinces for the event, according to Iowa 80. During the three-day event, guests were able to see more than 150 booth exhibits, the Super Truck Beauty Contest with 65 contestants, an antique truck display, free concerts and more. Clare Dunn, Sammy Kershaw and Lindsay Lawler headlined the event’s concerts this year.
The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum also celebrated the 100th birthday of its 1916 Mack AC, which Overdrive sister site Truckers News Editor David Hollis wrote about here.
