Jeremy Flygare has taken this 2000 Kenworth W900 "from a bone stock, bare bone setup, to making it look like the trucks I fell in love with at the start of my career in the early '90s," he said. He's "always been fascinated with lights," so he swapped the few existing lights on the truck -- "a whole whopping five incandescent lights on top of the cab from the factory," he said -- to all LEDs and added many more.
Powered by a 550-hp 3406E Cat with an Eaton 18-speed manual, the truck still has under 1 million miles on the chassis, engine and ECM, he said. Flygare has rebuilt the suspension, transmission and normal wear items, but the engine is still original.
"For a big Cat, this kitty hasn’t really ever worked all too hard," Flygare noted. "The previous owner primarily used [it] for trade shows, and I’ve been part time at best since picking it up with just over 600,000 on the clock."
Flygare plans to start pulling his fifth-wheel travel trailer with the truck and "soon just be seen rolling down an interstate someplace pulling my RV with my dog riding shotgun."
