Trucker injured after being shot at in apparent road rage incident
The 57-year-old trucker from San Antonio told police he was driving his truck westbound on I-30 and was changing lanes due to an accident ahead when he heard a pop and “felt like he had been punched in the side of the neck,” according to police. He was injured by the driver’s side window shattering.

California is planning to seek an intrastate adoption of the electronic logging device mandate that is likely to impose a deadline of December 31, 2020, for intrastate carriers. Oregon will enforce on the federal timeline Dec. 18 this year.

Harvey effect: Texas rates climbing, diesel could jump 15-25 cents, high-dollar FEMA loads available
Per a seven-day rolling average maintained by load board DAT Solutions, van rates between Dallas and Seguin, Texas, (about a 250-mile run) have shot up 49 percent in recent days to a $3.46 per-mile average, with some loads paying above $5. More here on rates and fuel prices here…
