Tax reform means annual savings of $2,000 or more for owner-operators
A new deduction allowed for owner-operator businesses, as well as a few other reforms instituted by the tax overhaul, will mean annual savings of $2,000 or more for many owner-operators. Some could see annual savings as high as $7,000.

Flatbed operators prospering as economy rebounds
Through September, flatbedder clients of ATBS had net income of $51,602. Even though miles driven did not change much during the first three quarters, net income per mile rose dramatically each quarter, indicating rapidly rising rates: 67.3 cents per mile, 74.7 cpm and 81.7 cpm.
