I-55 North lanes will be closed for several days beginning Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. to repair the I.C.G. Railroad Bridge over I-55 in Memphis.
Two lanes will be closed at mile marker 7 through Tuesday, Oct. 18, the Tennessee Department of Transportation said. Weekdays, two lanes of I-55 North will remain open from 6 a.m. through 9 a.m.
Meanwhile, TDOT contract crews will close lanes on U.S. 231 (State Route 10) North and South near Murfreesboro Oct. 8-10 to perform repairs to the bridge that crosses over the Stones River. The bridge is located just south of the I-24 interchange on U.S. 231.
U.S. 231 will be reduced to one lane in each direction Oct. 8 at 6 a.m. The lanes will reopen no later than Oct. 10 at 5 a.m. The project is expected to be complete by mid-November.
