Cobra CBTH8 Ultra Light Bluetooth headset
Cobra’s newly released Ultra Light Bluetooth headset has an advertised talk time of 20 hours and a standby time of 400 hours. It uses Bluetooth v2.0 technology to pair easily with phones and other devices and has built-in T5 Sonance noise cancellation technology to improve call quality. It also has an adjustable headband and boom microphone and features one-touch controls. The unit comes with vehicle, USB and in-wall chargers.
Essentials Portable Massager
The Body Essentials Portable Shiatsu Massager can turn any chair into a message therapy seat, including the passenger seat of your truck. The massager attaches to the chair and offers a rolling Shiatsu massage. Its four independent rollers travel up and down the back to stretch and relax muscles. It’s programmed with eight different massage session types to allow for full, lower, lower-middle, middle-upper or upper back massage.
GearWrench holiday set
GearWrench’s five-piece X-Beam Ratcheting Wrench set and two-piece QuadBox Double Box Ratcheting set are being offered as a holiday gift set at NAPA Auto Parts stores nationwide. The QuadBox set features eight sizes in two wrenches. The X-Beam wrenches are recommended by the American Arthritis Foundation’s Ease-of-Use program, as the wrench’s large contact area improves usability.
Rand McNally IntelliRoute
Though unveiled in March, the IntelliRoute TND 700 received a fairly expansive software update in September. The trucking-specific GPS has a 7-in. high-definition screen, Trucker Business Tools, loud speakers and custom-designed mounting features. New features for the IntelliRoute TND trucker-specific GPS navigation unit include mileage data reporting, enhanced voice warning system, final mile address notification and full-route text preview. The warning system alerts users of sharp curves, steep hills, speed limit changes and speeding, and the new driver-controlled auto-reroute allows drivers to pause and resume routes.
Truck-Lite LED Headlights
Truck-Lite’s 7-in. round LED headlights are DOT compliant and have solid-state circuit board assemblies to prevent damage from shock and vibration. They have hard-coated polycarbonate lenses for extra protection and use 10 Luxeon LED lights that extend bulb life and reduce electrical system drain. Truck-Lite’s 7-in. LEDs are designed to directly replace factory headlights.
Kicker CompVX subwoofer
If the trucker on your wish list is looking to add a little extra bass to his or her sound system, Kicker’s new CompVX subwoofer, which was released earlier this year, might be a viable option. The sub has a one-piece SoloKon cone with total back bracing for rigidity, high-temp dual voice coils to withstand heat, solid pole piece providing more mass and a T-cut top plate for a wider magnetic field and stronger bass response. Sub is available in 10-, 12- and 15-inch models.
Snap-On work gloves
Snap-On’s new SuperGrip gloves have a silicone-fused palm and finger traction patterns to improve grip and dexterity. They have low-profile Airprene knuckle protection and Duraclad reinforced double-stitched seams at stress points. The gloves are machine washable and are available in large and extra-large. Available at Auto Zone and Pep Boys.
Voyager Heavy Duty Blind Zone Camera
The Heavy Duty Blind Zone Camera System displays rear views from up to three different waterproof cameras. The system comes with a 7-in. LCD monitor, a monitor mount, 25 feet of cable and a right-side camera. DC triggers such as left and right turn signals and the reverse gear activate the camera system, which can also be manually operated. The camera and monitor combination offers views in real time, and the components have been tested to withstand vibration, moisture and temperature changes.
Hobart Multi-tool
For demanding metalworking hobbies and everyday tasks, Hobart’s 15-in-1 Multi-Function Tool has gadgets required to saw, cut, screw and pry. The tool features a 420 stainless steel body and anti-slip grip. The tool also comes with an LED light.
