Kenworth of Louisiana-Shreveport recently opened a facility about a half mile south of Interstate 20.
The full-service dealership occupies two adjoining buildings – a 2,000 square-foot office and a 10,500 square-foot building housing the service and parts departments.
The service department provides six service bays, and the parts department offers a large inventory and parts delivery throughout the greater Shreveport area. The location also provides sales support and leasing and rental services through its onsite PacLease franchise.
“By opening this facility, we can provide truck fleets and operators in northern Louisiana sales and leasing support plus immediate parts and service support along the major I-20 transportation corridor and close to the I-20 and I-49 interchange,” said Scott Oliphant, dealer principal and president of Kenworth of Louisiana. “We’re quite bullish about the long-term economic prospects in this area. The west end of Shreveport has a number of growing businesses in the light manufacturing, logging, oil and gas, mining and construction industries. There’s also a growing information technology sector anchored by CenturyLink’s headquarters in nearby Monroe, plus the U.S. Cyber Innovation Center at Barksdale Air Force Base.”
Craig Busher manages the Shreveport location’s parts department and Jeff Nelson manages the service department. Parts and service are available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The service department offers full warranty support for the Paccar MX engines.
