Devon Anderson uses this 2021 Western Star 4900SB 4-axle tractor in his D.C. Anderson & Co. business based in Dallas, Oregon. The truck is powered by a 505-hp Detroit DD15 with an Eaton 13-speed automated transmission. It features a 40-inch sleeper that Anderson occasionally uses when he has to stay out overnight. The truck is spec’d with a 13,600-pound pusher axle for the heavier freight he moves in the Pacific Northwest. Anderson had the rig custom built by Brian Vinton at Freightliner Northwest in Spokane, Washington.

Among custom touches to the rig are painted Minimizer fenders and the pusher axle, as well as painted half fenders over the front drive axle. He had Highway Products build a set of stepboxes that he had powder-coated and put on each side of the frame for easy access onto the trailer when needed. He also had the truck custom painted from the fleet’s six other trucks to include the gray stripe.

The truck is used to haul steel plate and tubing, dimensional lumber, stacking stone, concrete products and recycled cardboard across the Pacific Northwest. His fleet includes six trucks and one owner-operator.
