The Channel One-Nine Special set of mini-episodes in the Over the Road podcast series attempts to provide answers to questions about trucking from listeners inside and outside the business by consulting with the professionals. For the second episode, we’re answering a question that came from a variety of listeners curious about driving habits and preferences — and geography. The Over the Road podcast’s main eight-episode series resumes Thursday, March 19, with Episode 3, “A brief history of trucking in America,” a lively truck-stop-counter discussion ranging from the Great Depression through deregulation and beyond between host “Long Haul Paul” Marhoefer and household-goods specialist and author Finn Murphy; along the way, a talk through the history of former independent and sometime wildcatter, back in the day, Indiana-based Theldon Thornberg. Stay tuned.
