Top truck makers sue CARB/California over enforcement of Clean Truck Partnership
Daimler Trucks, International, Paccar and Volvo said in the lawsuit they are "caught in the crossfire" between federal lawmakers and state regulators and are seeking clarification of their legal obligations, as well as an injunction blocking California from enforcing preempted emissions regs.

EPA announces end to 5-mph DEF derates for new and existing trucks
The EPA on Tuesday said new trucks won't derate due to running out of DEF or other system faults nearly as quickly or severely, and announced plans to modify software on all existing trucks to extend the timing for derates.

The mechanic, who had been suspended as a certified inspection mechanic, continued to provide inspections in which he falsely certified the trucks were safe to operate and provided carriers with counterfeit inspection stickers.
