FMCSA’s Medical Review Board’s preliminary recommendations, not yet final, would encourage requiring a trucker to be screened for sleep apnea if he or she: (1) has a body mass index of 40 or greater, or (2) has a body mass index of 33 or greater and meets other criteria.
