Trucker arrested after allegedly shooting at another vehicle while driving

Virginia State Police report that 26-year-old Terrelle M. Jackson of Atlanta, Ga., shot at a 2001 Nissan pickup early Saturday morning near the 67-mile marker. The 51-year-old driver of that truck, who police did not identify, was not injured.

Carl Cormier attempted to avoid a person running on foot toward his truck, but the person continued running back and forth with Cormier’s oncoming truck as he veered to avoid them. He then quickly braked to a complete stop before hitting the person, who he then determined to be a distressed woman.
