A new record, another trailer getting the message out onto the streets, quite actually, for Australian singer-songwriter Jayne Denham. The reefer shown above is one among many in the Australian Wickham Freight Lines fleet, which has supported the musician there through the years.

Denham launches the Calamity trailer, and the new record, at the CMC Rocks Queensland festival in Willowbank, Queensland, in Australia this Friday. In the vid that follows, Denham tells the story of how the record came together in Nashville following her time at Mid-America last year.

More importantly for those in the U.S. who are fans of Denham’s hard-driving country rock (many of her tracks with trucking themes), after that she’s scheduled to perform at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, near the opening of the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., as part of the Red Eye Country Music Rendezvous in the South A lobby.

Among other familiar faces performing there over the course of the show include trucker/singer-songwriter Tony Justice, whose music is probably familiar to many here. He’s hosted Overdrive‘s Trucker Talent Search competition now for years, too, and other veterans of that program, held annually in August at the Great American Trucking Show (entries are open through the first of May to compete in this year’s event), will be performing at various points during the show next week.

Jason Lee Wilson, winner of the 2016 Trucker Talent Search, will perform at the Progressive Commercial Booth at the following times:
Thursday: 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m.
Friday:
1 p.m., 4:30 p.m.
Saturday: 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m.

Bill Weaver, who performed at the top of last year’s Trucker Talent Search and with whom regular readers will be familiar, is doing a set or two at the Independent Carrier Group’s booth in the Pavilion area at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Trucker and singer-songwriter Taylor Barker will likewise be performing at the ICG booth the same day at 2 p.m.

See you there?
