‘Paid for, she is’: Update with Michael and Tammy Groom’s 2012 T660

You may well recall team owner-ops Michael and Tammy Groom’s Star Wars-themed “Mothership” 2012 Kenworth T660 was five weeks from being paid off through a lease-purchase program the last time I checked in with them on the blog on the occasion of the 2016 Guilty by Association Truck Show in Joplin. Since then, the Grooms have moved away from their lease with Swift Transportation and into the two-truck small fleet operation of a longtime friend in MTG Xpress, hauling a dedicated route for Video Equipment Rentals between Vegas, Nashville, Tenn., and Orlando, Fla.
