Another record year for truckers’ GATS parking benefit auction for St. Christopher
Despite the recent freight slowdown in some parts of the trucking sector, owner-operators and company drivers alike dug in deep to pull out yet another record-breaking auction for the “Truckers Fund.” Between an auction, a charity dunk tank ($20 for three throws) and matching funds, total donations for the event came to nearly $21K.

Hold tight! Storms lashed parking-lot festivities the final day of MATS
More than a hundred fans of Tony Justice braved storm warnings to hear the beloved trucker-songwriter play, only to be forced to evacuate the Uber Freight Tent Saturday night at MATS two songs into the long-awaited concert in The Papa John’s Parking Lot. Smaller tents, with the help of truckers holding tight, fared better.

‘Brothers of the highway’ auction nets near $10K
The collaborative “Brothers of the Highway Christmas Auction” to benefit TruckersFinalMile.org wrapped up Wednesday last week. Launched by four trucker-songwriters, with around 90 percent of all pledged donations in, the auction has raised about $9,500 for the nonprofit.
