Airgas professional tanker driver and singer-songwriter Guy Archer has been on the move since his big win in the Overdrive/Red Eye Radio Trucker Talent Search in 2021.
In addition to continued songwriting, his mostly night work hauling in the region around his home base in Ohio, he was featured on the Red Eye Radio stage at the Mid-America Trucking Show in March in Louisville, Kentucky. The video features his opening song in a brief set he played solo there, the moving "Heavy Load," themed around the weight of the long-haul life no small number of professionals will relate to. Regular readers will remember "Heavy Load" as the original tune that led directly to Archer's big win in the talent search last year.
