Dry van, reefer rates ticked upward while flatbed dipped in May
Dry van rates on the spot market in May gained three cents from April nationally, while reefer gains gained a penny, according to data from Truckstop.com. Flatbed rates, however, fell three cents in the month.

FMCSA is now accepting applications from drivers and carriers to participate in the pilot program. As part of the pilot, FMCSA will compare the safety records of the under-21 drivers in the program to a control group of drivers ages 21-24 with CDLs and comparable training and experience driving trucks.
