Kimble Recycling & Disposal says its short-haul trash and recycling pickup drivers cannot complete their work day within the 12 hours required by the short-haul exemption and requests to allow its drivers to operate up to 14 hours in a day.

MaxxForce engine owners eligible for pay-outs in class-action settlement
Navistar, maker of International Trucks, has entered into a $159 million class-action settlement with fleets and truck owners who purchased model year 2011-2014 11-liter and 13-liter MaxxForce engines — a now-defunct engine line from Navistar that allegedly contained defects and piled up millions of dollars in warranty claims for the company.

Fire closes Central Alabama Flying J location
The blaze is said to have caused heavy damage to the Pilot Flying J location in McCalla, Alabama. Media reports say firefighters from nearby Bessemer responded to the blaze at about 2 a.m. PFJ says no one was injured in the fire, and the location will remain closed while it is rebuilt.

The recall affects model year 2017-2019 Traverse HT trailers in which the hydraulic cylinder retaining pin for the main tail may disconnect from the trailer unexpectedly. This could cause the hydraulic cylinder to drop free and hit the road, becoming a road hazard.
