OOIDA says the PTCâs toll hikes âplace an undue burden on interstate commerce while improperly diverting toll revenue to other projects unrelated to the turnpike.â Association CEO and acting president Todd Spencer says truckers have overpaid by as much as 70 cents-per-mile.

Truckers sound off in favor of OOIDAâs ELD exemption request
The exemption, if granted, would apply to small businesses (those with up to $27.5 million a year in revenue) who have no at-fault crashes on their record and who have a âSatisfactoryâ or âConditionalâ safety rating. The comment period closes Thursday, Feb. 1, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.

OOIDA has asked the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to exempt small businesses (defined by the Small Business Administration as those with up to $27.5 million a year in revenue) who have no at-fault crashes on their record and who have a âSatisfactoryâ or âConditionalâ from the ELD mandate.
